The Bahamas are a world-renowned destination for their reefs, beaches, colorful nightlife, historical townships, rum distilleries, and more. Explore a variety of different adventures and tropical escapes during your time with us; from tasting menus to ocean excursions. Here are some of our favorite things to do below:
Pigs can’t fly, but in the Bahamas they can swim! Encounter nature at its most playful by booking an excursion with many of our local tour guides, who will share the history of these smart and sweet creatures, and show guests their favorite bathing spots where you will be able to paddle through the warm waters with them by your side.
The Bahamas are known for their golden beaches, but these beautiful islands are also home to some of the best and biggest water parks in the world. Enjoy river rafting on large inner tubes, death defying slides, shark tanks, and adorable splash zones for little ones at one of our many water parks. Inquire at our front desk for brochures or personal recommendations on our favorite ones to visit.
Learn some of our long history while experiencing one of our most beautiful historic wonders. The Queen’s Staircase, also referred to as the 66 steps, is a beautiful tree-lined canyon cut out of solid limestone by enslaved persons in 1793 that took over 16 years to complete. It is said that it provided a direct route from Fort Fincastle to Nassau City and is now one of our most beautiful walks.
It wouldn’t be a visit to the Bahamas without stopping by one of our favorite museums; the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Wander through interactive exhibits that explore the history of piracy in the Caribbean, including a historically accurate replica of a pirate ship, and learn more about our islands’ history of sailing, piracy, trade, and more.
Rum is one of the most popular alcohols in the world, and many of them are distilled right here in the Bahamas. Take a tour of a distillery and learn the history of this incredible liquid from how it has made its mark on history by following the history of its trade throughout the Americas and Europe, topped off with a complimentary rum tasting and cocktail Q&A session.
Just a fifteen-minute walk from our property, find Nirvana beach club; a local favorite where you can rent chairs, beach towels, snorkels, and more to enjoy all the wonders of the Caribbean Sea. Featuring a bustling bar that serves all your favorite beachy mixed drinks as well as a selection of local fare, this club, located on Love Beach, is a great place to unwind and indulge.
